Chaired by Sohail Ashraf, the initiative focuses on upgrading parks, public spaces, and green belts to enhance the city's aesthetic appeal and quality of life. This strategic move aims to modernize the capital’s identity, making it a more attractive destination for visitors while improving public infrastructure for residents.

Islamabad has officially greenlit a new regulatory framework for the structured upgrading of its slums, prioritizing the integration of informal settlements into the city's formal urban grid. Moving away from traditional demolition and relocation strategies, the "Slum Upgrade Rules" establish legal standards for improving essential infrastructure—including roads, water, and sanitation—while defining the responsibilities of both state and private partners. This initiative represents a major step in addressing affordable housing challenges and ensuring that marginalized communities are included in the federal capital’s modernization and development plans.

The CDA has started a Rs240 million project to transform an 800-meter section of the Blue Area along Jinnah Avenue into a car-free pedestrian zone. This pilot initiative will feature food outlets and walking streets, providing a safe recreational space. Parking for 1,100 vehicles will be available nearby, and the project is scheduled for completion within 45 days.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa ordered the immediate issuance of plot possession in newly developed sectors to end allottee delays. Following a progress review, the CDA confirmed that road surfacing in I-12 will finish this month, while C-15 roads are due by March next year. This platform will allow citizens to verify the legal status of any housing scheme or individual plot—checking if it is approved, under process, or illegal—before making investments. NAB is integrating data from both the RDA and CDA to enhance transparency and protect consumers from real estate scams and unapproved developments.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed six large-scale development projects over the past year, valued at an estimated Rs. 23 billion. The completed projects include the Jinnah Square Interchange at Serena and Jinnah Convention Chowks, the Jinnah Square Murree Road Interchange, and the Tayyip Erdogan Interchange. Additionally, the CDA widened and rehabilitated Park Road, renovated the Convention Centre, and constructed new parking plazas in commercial areas. Work is also underway on the T-Chowk Flyover.

The minister also announced plans to modernize the FIA's IT infrastructure and headquarters and greenlit immediate recruitment to address staff shortages.
