CDA Chairman Orders Immediate Plot Handover in New Sectors

The Capital Development Authority (CDA), under the leadership of Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has issued clear directives to its estate and engineering wings to commence the issuance of possession letters for plots in all newly developed sectors of Islamabad. This move signifies a major institutional focus on expanding residential capacity.

During a detailed progress review, senior officials were briefed on the status of infrastructure development across critical areas:

  • C-14: Finishing works, including water supply and streetlights, have been prioritized for immediate completion.

  • C-15: Contracts are in place, with the deadline for road infrastructure set for March of the coming year.

  • E-12: Development continues in two sub-sectors, and tendering for the final sub-sector is underway.

  • I-12: Road surfacing is anticipated to conclude within the current month.

Chairman Randhawa stressed that the CDA must eliminate further delays for long-waiting allottees. Furthermore, he approved the creation of two specialized working groups dedicated to:

  1. Accelerating current development projects and
  2. Formulating a rehabilitation plan for established residential areas.
