CDA Greenlights Margalla Enclave-II Housing Project

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is moving forward with the launch of Margalla Enclave Phase II, a new housing project set to be developed in a joint venture with a government-owned partner. The project received approval from the federal cabinet, clearing the way for CDA to proceed with the scheme.

The approval, granted on August 21, allows the CDA to partner with another state-owned developer for the second phase, which will cover 83 kanals of land—78 kanals in Kuri and five kanals in Humak.

This new phase follows the successful Margalla Enclave Phase I, a collaboration between CDA and the Defence Housing Authority (DHA). Under the previous arrangement, CDA provided the land, and DHA managed the development on a 55-45 formula. That project saw strong sales and is currently undergoing development.

The CDA board had already given its initial approval in May, using a specific public procurement rule that permits direct contracts between government bodies. With the federal cabinet’s final approval, CDA will soon begin the process of selecting a new government-owned developer to partner with for this project.
