Pakistani embedded finance platform and fintech company Abhi has expanded its presence in the UAE through a strategic partnership with NymCard, a UAE-based payments infrastructure provider. The collaboration aims to help banks and licensed financial institutions deliver faster and more efficient credit solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Under the partnership, Abhi’s business financial solutions will be integrated with NymCard’s card and payments infrastructure to support different stages of the SME credit process. These include digital onboarding, loan origination, credit decisioning and the disbursement of approved funds.
The combined technology platform is designed to simplify traditionally fragmented credit processes, enabling financial institutions to streamline applications, speed up credit decisions and provide SMEs with quicker access to approved financing.
NymCard Chief Business Officer Shiraz Ali said the partnership could help financial institutions reduce complexity and develop scalable SME credit solutions. He noted that technology can play an important role in improving how credit is delivered to businesses in the UAE.
For banks and licensed financial institutions, the partnership provides a technology base for launching and expanding SME financing products without requiring them to independently develop and integrate multiple systems. SMEs, meanwhile, could benefit from a more streamlined process for applying for financing and accessing approved funds.
Abhi AVP – Sales & Partnerships Zain Ali said the collaboration would help simplify the credit journey for SMEs by combining Abhi’s technology with NymCard’s payments platform.
Abhi offers a range of financial solutions, including Earned Wage Access and SME financing products such as AbhiSalary, AbhiPayroll, AbhiKarobar and AbhiPay. The company serves more than 1 million users and works with over 7,000 businesses across Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
NymCard provides full-stack payments infrastructure and is a principal member of Visa and Mastercard. The company operates across 10 markets and serves more than 60 clients, supporting financial institutions and businesses with digital payments and card-based financial solutions.
