RCCI Meets Chinese Delegation to Boost Pakistan-China Trade

The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) hosted a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting with a visiting Chinese delegation at Chamber House in Rawalpindi to explore new opportunities for trade, investment and business cooperation between Pakistan and China.

The session was chaired by RCCI President Nosherwan Khalil Khan and attended by Senior Vice President Waseem Aslam, Vice President Ikram Abbasi, former presidents Raja Amer Iqbal and Malik Shahid Saleem, members of the Executive Committee and representatives from various business sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, RCCI President Nosherwan Khalil Khan appreciated the Chinese delegation's support in facilitating RCCI members' participation in the upcoming 140th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair. He noted that more than 75 business entities associated with RCCI are participating in the event, highlighting the growing interest among Pakistani businesses in international markets and stronger commercial ties with China.

The Chinese delegation was led by Ms. Cindy Chen, who provided an overview of the 140th Canton Fair and discussed the opportunities it offers Pakistani entrepreneurs. She highlighted that the event enables Pakistani businesses to connect with Chinese buyers as well as international buyers from various countries, helping them expand their market presence and establish new business partnerships.

The meeting also featured discussions on potential areas of cooperation, business networking and ways to strengthen commercial relationships between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises. Participants stressed the importance of direct business engagement, improved market access and regular interaction between the two countries' business communities.

The RCCI-China B2B meeting reflects ongoing efforts to promote bilateral trade, encourage investment and create new opportunities for businesses in both countries. Greater participation in international trade exhibitions such as the Canton Fair could help Pakistani companies explore new markets, develop partnerships and strengthen their position in global commerce.
