NAB Unveils Digital Platform to Combat Real Estate Fraud

ISLAMABAD, July 26, 2025 – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is set to revolutionize Pakistan’s real estate sector with the introduction of a new digital system designed to combat fraudulent practices and enhance transparency. The groundbreaking initiative aims to protect property buyers and sellers by creating a centralized, national database of real estate records.

Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, the NAB Chairman, is scheduled to officially launch the platform in the coming days. The system, developed by the Director General NAB Islamabad/Rawalpindi and their team, will serve as a high-tech solution to prevent major irregularities such as unauthorized allotments, fake documentation, and duplicate file sales within housing societies.

This secure portal will provide the public with instant, verified information on any property or housing project. Through a few simple steps, users can access authenticated reports confirming the legal status of a plot, including its approved layout plan, ownership records, and No-Objection Certificate (NOC) status. This real-time verification process will empower citizens to make informed decisions before finalizing any property deals.

A NAB official confirmed that the system is built to handle a vast range of data. The verification report generated by the portal will be recognized as an official document, adding a layer of security and trust to all real estate transactions. The platform’s primary goal is to safeguard the public from fraud, but it will also serve as a valuable resource for regulatory bodies and security agencies.

The introduction of this digital system marks a significant step towards boosting confidence and reliability in Pakistan’s property market. It is expected to create a more open and accountable environment, helping to ensure that every property transaction is legitimate and secure. NAB representatives have stated that the platform will be publicly accessible in the near future, inviting all citizens to use the service for a thorough verification of their property interests.
