Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal reviewed the progress of several major development projects during a meeting in Islamabad, directing authorities to accelerate work while maintaining construction quality and international standards.
The meeting reviewed progress on the Kachhi Canal Phase-II project, the construction of a 35-kilometre road connecting Loralai and Zhob, and the Allama Iqbal Memorial and Iqbal Library project.
During the Kachhi Canal Phase-II review, Iqbal instructed the relevant authorities to ensure that construction standards are maintained throughout the project. He also directed officials to consult the Balochistan government on suitable options for moving the project forward.
The minister also reviewed the Allama Iqbal Memorial and Iqbal Library project, directing that the proposed library be developed according to international standards and that construction begin without further delay.
Iqbal further instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to move the relevant summary within three days, underscoring the government’s focus on timely implementation of key development initiatives.
