Jamshoro Joint Ventures Limited (JJVL), Pakistan’s largest private-sector LPG producer, has restarted operations after more than five and a half years and has dispatched its first LPG shipment from its Jamshoro gas-processing complex.
The restart, disclosed by investor LSE Capital Limited in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, is seen as a key boost for the country’s LPG supply chain, bringing back onstream JJVL’s two Ortloff-technology-based extraction plants with capacities of 200mmscfd and 125mmscfd that are engineered, operated, and maintained by Houston-based Exterran.
The resumption follows Sui Southern Gas Company’s recently approved agreement allowing JJVL to once again extract LPG and natural gas liquids, a move expected to support domestic energy availability and reduce reliance on imports
