Apple has begun offering Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost to paid iCloud+ subscribers in Pakistan, expanding the benefits available under its cloud storage subscription plans.
The company has added Pakistan to the list of countries where the expanded iCloud+ benefits are available. Under the new arrangement, existing paid iCloud+ subscribers will automatically receive access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade while keeping their current storage plans and monthly prices.
Pakistani subscribers received emails from Apple informing them about the additional benefits. A 50GB iCloud+ subscriber reported that the monthly price would remain Rs200, while a 2TB subscriber was informed that the existing monthly price of Rs2,500 would remain unchanged.
Apple also allows iCloud+ subscribers to share their plans with up to five family members, including access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade. However, the availability of specific content and features may vary depending on the country or region.
The development follows Apple’s appointment of Salman Dar as its first Head of Government Affairs for Pakistan, a newly established position focused on the company’s engagement with regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders in the country. Dar previously served as CEO of IT company Itroos and held leadership positions at the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA).
Apple said the expanded iCloud+ package is being rolled out across more than 100 countries, giving eligible subscribers access to additional entertainment and gaming services without increasing their existing subscription prices.
