Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured that no passenger holding genuine and complete travel documents will be barred from travelling abroad. During a visit to Islamabad International Airport, Naqvi engaged directly with travelers to hear their concerns amid reports of passengers being offloaded despite having valid papers.
He emphasized a strict crackdown on fraudulent visa agents exploiting citizens and took immediate notice of complaints regarding understaffed immigration counters, ordering inquiries including CCTV reviews. Naqvi clarified that while legitimate travelers should never face obstacles, individuals attempting to travel on fake or incomplete documents will be stopped to protect Pakistan’s reputation.
The Federal Investigation Agency also confirmed that only passengers with suspicious or inadequate documentation are denied boarding, urging the public not to believe false social media rumors. Naqvi called out "agent mafias" who jeopardize people's futures for profit and vowed zero tolerance towards such illegal activities. This move is part of a wider campaign to combat migrant smuggling after past tragic incidents involving Pakistanis abroad, reinforcing that lawful travelers will receive full support and facilitation.
