NayaPay, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing fintech platforms, has launched a global QR payment feature in collaboration with Alipay+, the international wallet network of Ant International. Through this partnership, millions of NayaPay customers can now scan QR codes and pay at Alipay+–enabled merchants in more than 50 countries, gaining access to a wide range of sectors, including retail, dining, transport, healthcare, and entertainment.
This new capability is designed to make overseas payments quicker, cheaper, and more convenient for Pakistani users, allowing them to complete secure transactions abroad with lower costs and a smoother checkout experience. Alipay+ links dozens of mobile payment partners to a vast global merchant base, and the integration strengthens NayaPay’s broader product suite, which already includes Visa debit cards, domestic and international transfers, bill payments, and home remittance services.
NayaPay CEO Danish A. Lakhani said the company’s vision is to give Pakistanis the same ease and confidence in managing money that consumers enjoy in advanced economies, and that global QR acceptance is a major step in that direction, especially for students, professionals, and leisure travelers. Ant International’s Pan Yan highlighted that the collaboration helps Pakistanis use a familiar mobile wallet experience abroad, mirroring how they pay at home.
The announcement builds on an earlier phase of cooperation launched in early 2024, when NayaPay became the first Pakistani fintech to support direct QR payments at tens of millions of merchants in China. The expanded integration now extends that seamless experience worldwide, offering Pakistani users greater convenience, broader acceptance, and improved cost-efficiency for international payments.
