Meezan Bank has approved over PKR 31.45 billion in housing finance for 4,424 applications under the Government of Pakistan’s Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme – Ghar Ho Tu Apna (GHTA), highlighting strong demand for affordable and Shariah-compliant home financing.
The approved financing represents a significant pipeline that is expected to translate into further disbursements as customers complete property selection, documentation and other formalities.
Meezan Bank has already disbursed more than PKR 4 billion under the programme, supporting around 650 families in their journey towards homeownership. The bank’s disbursements gained significant momentum in August 2026, reaching approximately PKR 2.2 billion in a single month.
Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, said approvals exceeding PKR 31.5 billion across more than 4,400 applications demonstrate strong demand for affordable, Shariah-compliant housing finance in Pakistan.
He said the bank’s priority is to convert the approved financing pipeline into homeownership opportunities for thousands of additional customers while supporting the government’s affordable housing objectives.
Through its Easy Home solutions, Meezan Bank offers Shariah-compliant financing for the purchase and construction of residential properties, providing customers with housing finance structured according to Islamic principles.
