The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that commercial plots in LDA City Business Bay and LDA Avenue One will be included in its upcoming draw, with applications open until September 2.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, where officials reviewed budget planning, town planning, auctions, engineering projects and development progress across various LDA schemes.
Key Highlights of LDA Plot Draw
According to officials, the upcoming draw will include commercial plots in LDA City Business Bay and LDA Avenue One, along with 5-marla residential plots in Johar Town.
The LDA’s Auctions Directorate briefed the meeting on applications received for the upcoming draw, while the Finance Directorate presented proposed budget allocations for the next financial year.
LDA City Development Prioritised
The authority has identified LDA City as a priority development project for the current financial year. The director general directed officials to accelerate ongoing development work and improve the pace of infrastructure projects.
The meeting also discussed improving basic municipal services in LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town and LDA Enclave Scheme. The LDA chief instructed officials to formulate a governance model to improve service delivery and administration in these schemes.
Action Against Illegal Construction
The LDA director general also directed the Town Planning Wing to intensify action against illegal construction and unauthorised commercialisation.
Officials were further instructed to ensure strict compliance with standard operating procedures for construction activities during the monsoon season, with an emphasis on safety and proper planning.
The upcoming draw is expected to provide applicants with opportunities to acquire commercial and residential plots in some of Lahore’s major LDA development schemes.
