LCCI to Host Mera Brand Pakistan Expo to Boost Self Reliance and Local Industries

LAHORE: The “Mera Brand Pakistan” Expo, a two-day event aimed at fostering economic self-reliance and strengthening the “Made in Pakistan” identity, is scheduled for August 14 and 15 at the Lahore Expo Centre. Organized jointly by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Pakistan Business Forum, the expo is being presented as a national movement to build trust in local products and manufacturing.

LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad emphasized that the expo is a platform to end reliance on imports and showcase the potential of domestic industries. “Our national industries have remarkable potential – they only need trust and promotion,” he stated. The event is designed to provide local manufacturers and brands with an opportunity to connect with the public, buyers, and exporters. Shad highlighted that boosting exports and enhancing the global identity of Pakistani products are key to the country’s growth.

LCCI Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman called the expo a “major step towards economic independence” and noted that the event has a dedicated focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He stressed that the growth of local production is essential for economic stability.

The exhibition will feature a diverse range of Pakistani-made goods, including textiles, cosmetics, food, household items, furniture, footwear, and engineering products. Organizers also encouraged young entrepreneurs to utilize the platform to help Pakistan transition from a consumer market to a producer economy.

Chaudhry Mohsin Bashir reiterated that the expo represents a vision of national unity and a shared purpose to promote Pakistani brands on a global scale. The LCCI office-bearers concluded by stating that “Mera Brand Pakistan” is more than just a trade fair; it is a national initiative for self-sufficiency, economic stability, and international brand recognition.
