Islamabad Food Authority Sets Hard Deadline for Restaurants

The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has issued a final warning: All restaurants and food outlets must complete their registration by November 30.

According to Dr. Tahira Siddique, Deputy Director Operations of IFA, the authority will begin strict enforcement operations on December 1. These daily inspections are intended to verify the registration status and ensure full compliance with established food safety standards across all establishments.

Outlets found operating without official registration after the specified deadline will face immediate closure (sealing) and the imposition of significant financial penalties. Restaurant owners are advised to finalize the registration process promptly to maintain business continuity and adhere to regulatory requirements.
