Gold Price Plummets by PKR 8,500 Per Tola in Three Days

Rawalpindi – Gold prices in Pakistan have witnessed a significant decline over the past three days, with the price of 24 karat gold decreasing by a substantial PKR 8,500 per tola. On Saturday, the precious metal traded at PKR 356,400 per tola, marking a further decrease of PKR 300 from the previous day’s closing price of PKR 356,700, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

The price of gold had already fallen by PKR 8,200 per tola in the preceding two days, making the cumulative drop over the three-day period a noteworthy PKR 8,500. This downward trend was also reflected in the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold, which decreased by PKR 257 to settle at PKR 305,555, down from PKR 305,812. Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of 22 karat gold saw a reduction of PKR 235, trading at PKR 280,102 compared to PKR 280,337 the day before.

The silver market also experienced a downturn, with the price of both per tola and ten-gram silver decreasing. Per tola silver declined by PKR 60 to PKR 3,963, while the price of ten-gram silver fell by PKR 52 to PKR 3,397.

In the international market, the price of gold also saw a slight decrease, falling by $3 to $3,337 per ounce from $3,340 per ounce. Silver prices experienced a more significant drop internationally, decreasing by $0.60 to $38.14 per ounce from $38.74 per ounce, as reported by the Association.
