The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a two-day auction of 12 prime commercial sites in Islamabad on October 12–13, 2026, offering new investment opportunities for businesses and property investors in the federal capital.
The auction will feature five hotel plots and seven petrol pump sites, attracting potential interest from hospitality developers, fuel station operators and commercial investors seeking to establish or expand their businesses in Islamabad.
The five hotel plots are intended for hospitality-related developments, creating opportunities for investors interested in hotels, accommodation facilities and tourism-related services. Meanwhile, the seven petrol pump sites will cater to investors planning fuel stations and associated commercial operations, subject to applicable approvals and development regulations.
The auction is part of CDA’s efforts to facilitate commercial investment, make designated land available for business activities and generate revenue for the authority.
Interested bidders are advised to review the official auction documents carefully before participating. Key details to examine include plot locations, permitted land use, bidding procedures, payment terms, eligibility criteria and development requirements.
Investors should also assess the total acquisition and development costs, regulatory obligations and potential market demand before submitting bids. While commercial plots can offer business opportunities, future returns depend on factors such as location, infrastructure, construction expenses and the relevant sector's growth prospects.
The two-day auction will allow eligible participants to compete for the available sites, with final prices and successful bidders to be determined through the auction process and subsequent official confirmation.
The planned sale provides another opportunity for investors to explore commercial real estate opportunities in Islamabad, particularly in the hospitality and fuel retail sectors.
