The Punjab government has made significant strides in its flagship housing initiative, the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ Program. The scheme, designed to help low-income families achieve home ownership, has so far disbursed over PKR 113 billion in loans to 95,600 families.

A recent review meeting, chaired by Punjab Housing Secretary Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, provided an update on the initiative's progress:

82,931 houses are currently under construction.
