Pakistan is launching a state-of-the-art weather alert system on the Islamabad–Lahore Motorway through the "Weather on the Way" project. It provides real-time, local weather updates on hazards like fog and rain via mobile apps and toll displays to improve road safety. The system also supports agriculture, environmental monitoring, and public safety agencies across the country. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has assured that no passenger with genuine and complete travel documents will be barred from traveling abroad. Jamshoro Joint Ventures Limited (JJVL), Pakistan’s largest private LPG producer, has restarted its Jamshoro gas-processing plant after a shutdown of around five and a half years and dispatched its first LPG shipment. The restart, enabled by a new gas-supply and extraction agreement with SSGC, restores a major domestic source of LPG and NGL, which is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s LPG supply chain and reduce reliance on imports.

Murree’s drivers face sharply higher fines as city police enforce stricter traffic rules under a new Punjab government ordinance. Sindh Tajir Ittehad Chairman Sheikh Habib has criticised the Sindh government for failing to issue number plates to new motorcycles despite charging registration fees, calling it a clear case of misgovernance. He acknowledged that the e-challan system has helped curb roadside corruption but warned that its effectiveness is undermined by a weak vehicle registration database and thousands of unregistered bikes. Habib urged reforms including mandatory registration in the actual owner’s name, lower initial fines for bikers, a government-backed helmet scheme, biometric verification for vehicle transactions, and continuous updating of ownership records.
