Founded in 2002 in Wichita, Kansas, by brothers Bill and Randy Simon and their partner Scott Redler, Freddy’s was named in honor of their father, a decorated WWII veteran. Opening its first restaurant on August 26, 2002, the brand emphasized quality, hospitality, and cleanliness from day one.
Franchise Launch & Growth
The first franchise opened in December 2004 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Since then, Freddy’s has scaled rapidly to 515+ locations across 36 states, with 130+ additional units in development, including its first international expansion into Canada.
