MBS Unveils CEER’s First Electric Sedan and SUV

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has unveiled EXOBOT, the first electric sedan and SUV from CEER, the Kingdom’s national automotive company, marking a major step in the country’s efforts to strengthen its automotive industry.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the launch supports Saudi Arabia’s strategy to diversify its economy, attract investment, develop local talent and establish the Kingdom as a regional and global automotive hub.

The EXOBOT sedan and SUV are part of CEER’s planned lineup of seven models to be introduced over the next five years. The vehicles feature designs inspired by Saudi Arabia’s landscape, culture and vision, with development and engineering carried out locally in line with international standards.

Production will take place at the CEER Manufacturing Complex, described by SPA as the Middle East’s largest automotive production facility and one of the world’s most technologically advanced.

By 2034, CEER is projected to contribute more than $8 billion to Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product and over $21 billion to improving the country’s trade balance. The company is also expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Launched in 2022 by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), CEER aims to develop the Kingdom’s domestic automotive industry, attract investment, expand private-sector participation and support long-term economic growth.
